Wanna Harrass an Undergrad? Want to join a Startup?
Azhar Khan, a cornell engineering alumni (’92) who is Co-founder and VP of Engineering at Ojos-Inc., has been communicating with me about this old repost of a job advertisment that I got from the CAANC mailing list a while ago. He says it’s not for public consumption, but you can find the contents of the email floating around in quite a few different places:
- In the mailing list archives: groups.yahoo.com/group/CAANC-Connect/
- On the stanford job board: bases.stanford.edu/site/login/job_view_company.jsp?coid=4193
- On a forum list: www.suntzureport.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=80&
- On their own website: www.ojos-inc.com/
In short, Ojos-inc was looking for coders to write windows/internet applications to hack “the JPEG” or “inside JPEG,” led by a PhD in computer vision from Stanford University. Their goal was to “change the way consumers surf and search the web.” Their job-hunting press release suggested that qualified applicants send their resumes to resumes@ojos-inc.com, or to Azhar Khan himself.
So why would a company that’s developing what seems to be intuitive image search technology have their VP insist that I remove the job posting? Why would their website suddenly disappear? At first I received an email that said, “please call me at once about this website.” I responded to that ridiculous demand with “no, of course not. If you have something to say, email me or leave a comment on the post.” Then Azhar emailed me back with a story of woe, of how he keeps receiving scores of junk resumes and telephone calls from recruiters, and wants to get away from it all. I felt sorry, so I removed his email address and telephone number that were in his release, and replaced it with the resume address from their now-defunct website.
At this point you would assume that we’d be done. I satisfied his problem, right? No. I got a call this morning at 11 AM, insisting that I remove the post. I told him I’d think about it. He told me the release wasn’t for “general consumption,” but wouldn’t say anything more specific. This leads me to believe one of two things. Either (a) the company is in some kind of trouble and is trying to erase all record of itself or (b) Ojos-inc is trying to cover up some secret plan they have. In other words, when Azhar Khan told me that I should remove what used to be this post because he was getting spam, he lied to me, because that wasn’t enough for him.
Spurred and irritated, I did some additional internet research, and this is what I found:
At least two old Craiglist postings, requesting digital photos and software devs. There is no cache.

OJOS Is Hiring!
We are building an elite team of engineers and researchers who will be hacking “The JPEG” with a technology team led by a Stanford PhD in computer vision with a strong foreign accent. But you do not need to have an accent to work with him…;-) We are a recently funded consumer software startup that received multiple term sheets from Sand Hill VCs within just 48 hours of pitching the idea. Our team is made up of a CEO who built and led his last company to profitability providing services to eBay sellers, a Vice President of Engineering who sold his last company for $25M, and a CTO with 15 patents and 30 papers. All three founders are graduates of Stanford University and believe smart guys who work hard do change the world (at least the tech world..;-). We have an exclusive license from UCLA for key technology and a disruptive idea that will change the web. We believe our market opportunity is significant. We are funded by Peter Rip of Leapfrog Ventures (www.leapfrogventures.com) – a brilliant VC who invested in many successful Internet companies such as Vxtreme (acquired by MSFT) and Cadabra (acquired by Goto); and John Malloy of Blue Run Ventures (formerly Nokia Ventures – www.brv.com) the first investor in Paypal (acquired by eBay) and head of Nokia’s US operations for years.
We want you to join our team provided you have a proven record of success (small or large) and an unquenchable thirst to succeed:

I am baffled by the demands of Ojos-inc. In one sense, they have their way now–the original repost of their recruiting letter is completely gone. In another sense, they do not. Everything I am able to find about the company is here, and the things that I couldn’t find (patents, trademarks, press releases, a corporate address) are countless. All that I hope is that this information is useful to someone!

same CEO who got fired for misappropriation of funds in his own founded company – Andale? Dude, u be careful whom you are working with. That guy cannot be trusted.
Elliott,
I’m the CEO Ojos and the guy who is mentioned. I’m sorry you feel harassed that was not our intent. We were just trying to tell you that someone has posted something false on your site and that the person who allegedly posted it wasn’t even the guy. Jeff from http://www.jeffinabox.com is a friend of mine who alerted me that someone had written the post and referred to him as the source by linking to his address. He indicated he didn’t post it. I asked Azhar to alert you to the fact that there might be a bogus post on your site that we believed was inaccurate and misleading as to the source. I was hoping you might give us the benefit of the doubt. From your response it seem not.
I’ve been a Internet CEO for years and understand that life on the Internet is a public experience. However public doesn’t mean that when something incorrect is posted you don’t try and fix it. If you don’t want to change the post no big deal. However, I encourage you and your readers to read my homepage and learn all about me at http://homepage.mac.com/munjal . As for the company site it is at http://www.ojos-inc.com it is still up… I just check it so try it now.
The web is dialogue that is the best part…
Sincerely,
Munjal
Thanks for the clarification! Azhar didn’t mention that the problem was that someone had left a comment with incorrect information–that would have been helpful. Obviously, the thing to do is leave a rebutal such as you have done above! I cannot verify the comment you believe is misleading, but it’s interesting to have around for conversations sake anyway. I think you’ve put a big enough disclaimer on comment 291 for now
Strangely, I can’t actually get to http://www.ojos-inc.com. Maybe there’s some kind of firewall / dns problem.
I’ll check the DNS issue… since the service has not yet launched we are not hosting it in a industrial class data center yet…;-).
Thanks for the dialogue.

Hmmm….their website looks familiar, is it because it was stolen direclty from BlueRobot?

I’d be a little nervous, if I was you. Munjal is a slippery dude who got fired for inept management, then subsequently removed from the board of directors for being a pain in the ***. Whatever this guy is up to, it will turn to **** and leave the investors with a bitter taste.
I cannot believe this clown can actually raise money again after blowing $70M on a business that is worth maybe $10M on a good day.

Munjal loves to call himself a “trickster” – he is one – best of the breed. An excellent speaker who’ll have you dancing to his tune when he talks. We use to work for him and now repent how those years of our life got wasted. He made life a living hell for all of us.
The guy is a brain, but with malicious intents and doesn’t know how to treat people.
No wonder it was no news for us when he was fired from Andale. Any body thinking of applying to Ojoos, apply only if you are depressed and want to end your life.
As for investers who have invested in Ojooooos, you are already dead!
I know Munjal as a great person to work with and all the Very best to Munjal for OJOS.
I still work and Andale and I know what Munjal has done for us. He built up a small start up and made our company profitable. Its only after he left that we have seen our revenue go down. Munjal is a leader with integrity and knows what it takes to get a company successful. He has got his hands into the main operations and brainstorming. I have been amazed by his ideas and concepts in Andale and these qualities are only going to fuel this new project. I consider Munjal leaving Andale – Andale’s biggest loss.
Friends (whoever you are) – “doesn’t know how to treat people.”. This is probably some guy who worked in Andale and got fired for incompetence. Munjal is a true leader who will treat an incompetent dope how he needs to be treated and will praise good work in an open forum. I only wish I could join his company as I have heard of the technology they are working on and its nothing but ground breaking – just as the Andale concept was when he started with it and made it a success. All the best to Ojos and Munjal’s new team.
If you were to line up 150 andale employees (current/former) and ask them if they’d ever work for Munjal again, you would find the overwhelming majority (90%+) would say no. This isn’t about incompetent dopes, this is about a person who is dishonest and believes employees are oil wells that can be sucked dry and abandoned.
It’s not that he isn’t a smart dude, he is simply a poor leader and incapable of building a team based on trust and collaboration.
Anyone reading this thread and seriously considering jumping into Ojos, should do their due dilligence on the CEO- whether they be investor/employee. Don’t get dazzled by slideware and empty promises.
An interesting startup related article you might like is this:
http://www.wingedpig.com/archives/000207.html
A webservices startup should take three months to launch, at most, and then incrementally improve service thereafter….
This guy, Munjal, is a total *******. I used to work at Auctionworks.com, which is now Marketworks.com, which is Andale’s competitor (I no longer work there, so I have no personal interest in the rivalry between the two companies).
Notice, first, that somebody named Jeff posted a negative post about Munjal. Then Munjal comes on and says, oh, he’s a friend of mine, but somebody impersonated my friend and posted using his name.
Bullsh*t. Because “Jeff” came right back and posted another, with more negative feedback. A “friend”? Not likely. Nice try, Munjal, but a little lame for a recovery.
And then, we suddenly get two “nice” post about Munjal, but they are so forthcoming, that they post as “Anonymous” and “Ann-Dale”!
Bullsh*t again! Notice that these posts are only a couple of days apart, and about the same time of the day (7am). They were probably posted by Munjal himself!! Checking the morning email, and then adjust the “public image” before starting work for the day?
As I worked for Munjal’s competitor, I know of all his underhanded and slimy business and PR tactics. He used to pump up his company as if it was eBay’s best friend, and that Marge over at eBay just LOVED Andale to death. Every little piece of **** Andale churned out, they advertised as if they had “collaborated” with eBay developers, side by side, and turned out such a great feature that eBay was “exclusively” working with Andale for all third-party auction-related services.
It was all ****. eBay couldn’t stand them, and was even more irritated by their underhanded PR junk. And half the **** Andale implemented came from ideas Auctionworks had in place months before. It was amazing that two months after Auctionworks rolled out a feature, Andale showed up with a similar feature. It was then that we realized the idiot signed up for an account with us and was stealing everything we did. That lasted until we locked him out. By username, and then from both his work computer and his home computer.
Munjal is worthless. He has a paper degree, but doesn’t have a clue about how to run a company. We always read about how he “raised x millions of capital”. Nothing says that he burned it all away with nothing to show for it! He can talk his *** off, but has no business sense whatsoever, and has no clue how to lead people. I’ve spoken to Andale employees, current and former, and they all say that he is an egotistical ******* and ran the company like it was an abused dog.
Whatever this Ojos is, even if it’s a good idea, Munjal doesn’t have the ability to get it off the ground. As long as he keeps coming up with bullsh*t ideas, and gets VC idiots to pay for it, he will always have meals on his table and the bills for his Porsche paid (yes, Munjal I know what you drive. I even know the license plate number).
Interested in what Ojos is up to?
http://www.ojos-inc.com/images/
Ann-Dale, i assume that you are still working at andale (from your post). I can understand what you are going through. Andale is into problems and there is lot of uncertainty around the company. Munjal fucked it up real nice before BOD realized and fired him.
If you want to get out of there, and get a job at Ojos, stop licking munjal’s *** via internet posts and talk to him directly.
Also I didn’t get fired from Andale. I put down my papers when I just couldn’t stand the guy anymore.
Well, obviously the shithead Munjal has seen these posts, because this link no longer works:
http://www.ojos-inc.com/images/
Finally figured out how to disable the indexes on his sub-directories?
Well, that means he’s seen these posts, but refuses to respond.
So Digger, would you care to describe what you’ve seen at that link? Is it as mundane, but overhyped, as I think it is?
i saw their ‘hidden’ secrets. think of hyperlinks based not on words, but on photos – specifically pieces of photos. relationships that can be established between photos/people based on tagging a photo or an image within the photo.
1 photo = 20 tags – tree, bottled water, sand, wife, beach, sky, moon, etc…
do an image search on moto cell phone, instead of a whole image tagged as cell phone, imagine a piece of an image appearing that was tagged within the .jpg by the owner.
reminded of flikr with the ability to tag multiple images within a single hi-res photo. would not work with cell phone camera images today… maybe in 2010.
biz model? maybe micropayments flow to the owner based on views. oh wait, i know – it’s a community. ugh.
yawn. another $5 million down the drain…
Granulated is wrong. Ojos think they can recognize faces, shapes and things in a digital image. Optical recognition software. No need to tag pictures, they software does it for you! they are smoking crack – optical rec software has TONS of false positives, just ask the Homeland Security folks.
It’s still a ****.
Oh, whatever. That’s ****. It’s not even a good idea.
The shame of it is that Munjal will actually talk some idiots into parting with their money over it.
Like I said, as long as he keeps coming up with these dumb ideas, and keeps getting VC idiots to pay for it, he will be able to pay his bills.
His profession is not “entrepeneur” or “technologist” or even “visionary”. His true profession is exactly what I’ve seen before: Bullshit artist. The ability to convince other people as stupid as he is to spend money on ****.

First off – if I wanted to lick *** I may have had to take a couple of classes from “Friends”. I did not put my name cause I dont want even want Mujal to know who this is. I saw an unfair blog from people who dont have a clue what they are talking about. Good thing you left before they fired you eh ?
Secondly I dont have the technical knowledge to join ojos. I cannot join and am not interested to.
The Marketworks guy has written an entire theory based on hearsay. The Market works guy is biased and he knows it, deny it all you want. Did you notice Andale’s Developer award on this years eBay Live? I bet you will revert with some thing on that
But hey you “have no personal interest in the rivalry between the two companies”;) so why should you?
Forget the Marketworks / Andale stuff. The bottom line is that Munjal does not have the business sense or the management sense to make any venture a success. Oh, he can talk his *** off great, and get people to pay for it, but can he make it fly in the long run, even if it is a good idea?
The answer is no. Because of how he managed Andale, they burned through tens of millions of dollars before they could turn a profit, and most of that was wasted. In the end, his own people hated him, and he got fired from his own company.
I would be very scared of investing in any venture he comes up with. I simply wouldn’t be able to trust his judgement. First, Ojos is not even a good idea. It’s lame. And combine that with his lack of business sense and his inability to lead people…. sorry, no way I would dump money into that.
for the record, you dodos bust your *** to make me the moollah. check out my pictues on the site..
eBay hands out awards like candy to placate the service providers after yet another year of deep dicking. That award really does not mean much, and does not translate into any sort of shareholder value. Ann-Dale (or should I say Munjal) is merely spinning more fables under a pseudonym.
The sad truth, people, is that Silicon Valley does occasionally reward ******** with 2nd chances – and sometimes they gracefully stumble into riches. But as the Beatles say, money can’t buy you love. There will always be more people who distrust this guy and avoid his company than those who desire it. Bummer what some people give up to score that big house in Woodside…
First, the people who know first handed why Munjal left are the execs from the company, the board/VC’s and the founders. Everyone else is getting their information from one of these individuals of which I am one and I know that these statements are false and self serving. The people who are feeding you the information are the ones using them to deflect responsibly for their actions. Interestingly, these are the same individuals who were hired by Munjal and worked for the company for many years under his leadership. It is a shame that these individuals are not intellectually honest with themselves and if they felt Munjal was as bad as they make him out to be, why did they stay? The company underneath his leadership worked its way to profitability during times when the majority of other startups failed. The only reason the company made it to profitability was that Munjal felt a personal responsibility to the employees and investors to make hard decisions that most executives where not capable of. How many CEO’s during this same time period drove their companies into the ground?
So Frisco – you get your info directly from the execs, board/VC’s – huh? and Munjal is such a dude that his leadership drove the company towards profitability?
Then you tell us – why did the same execs, board/VC’s kicked his butt out of andale?
Where did all the money he raised for “andale” – he boosts $ 70 million + the profit his leadership generated – go?
Check his bank account.
So Munjal — um, oh, I mean — Frisco,
Founded your own company, then got kicked out of it. And now you are going try and tout the loyalty of your own people?
Man, you got balls.
Give him a break…so what if Munjal is a con machine? He made you all slog to fill up his bank accounts.
He could do it then – and he could do it now!
Hats off to all who joined Ojos!!!
This is just jealousy speaking. Every successful and great man had faced unreasonable criticism, biased opinions. It is because people like you dream to be in their position, but are not – and can never reach there.
Munjal and VJ are the 2 smartest people I have known. They single-handedly built an entire business and generated millions out of a simple idea. All of you want the same thing, but have neither the brains nor the guts to do that.
So leave Munjal alone and work to improve your own lives.
Generated millions? Oh please – they spent tons of someone else’s money and got thrown out for ineptitude. Andale today has its nose barely above water and will never be worth the capital that was thrown in. And it is the employees still at Andale who truly made the place profitable, not Munjal and Vijay.
Smart people create value, these two created havoc. You cannot argue against the FACTS, pointBlank.
I have worked with Munjal for several years and he is a great Entrepreneur, extremely ambitious personality and a vision oriented leader who really knows how to run a company and value people and their contribution. He was the one who built Andale and took it to success. We all know that. Now it is in the hands of incapable leaders and we are all seeing how the company drowning. Most of the people in here are just writing non-sense and it is their jealously that is coming out NOT FACTS. If you all really have the GUTS then stop being Anonyms writers come out with your real identity and then talk, or do something equivalent or better and show it to us.
“Truth” sounds like a real first name! Or is it your second name? Really appreciate YOUR guts!!!!!
I think its funny how all you weiners come back day in and day out . Check if people have responded to your posts / see if anyone has slammed munjal, write more **** about Munjal, leave and come back and do it all over again.
Munjal may be ****..he may be a genius..one things for sure..hes a topic of conversation…and any PR is good PR….and PR is good for Ojos
I suggest you all try getting new lives…the ones you have obviously Suck..move on.
Looks like you are the one with your eyes stuck on this forum and which era are you living in – “any PR is good PR”. LOL!!!. Grow up kid!
What a **********!!! You are this ” ” close to getting a job @ Ojos.
did u guys sleep together?
Jeff – your outburst is understandable. Your gf’s travel and her stay with you – was all on company’s expense.
You trying at Ojos is also understandable – you ppl need that sponsorship again.
How can the dog not bark when the master’s butt is on fire?
Get some self respect and get a new life. You need it more than anybody else.
Yo friend & point 1…i hear you guys are really burned coz munjal didnt hire you clowns at Ojos, so your stuck in your boring jobs and boring lives..hanging around this tired old blog ..thinking that what you say means something…
looks like maybe you need to do alittle growing up “friend”..calling people names in the absence of anything real to say …LOL…what are you 12?. – go off and play with your toys little man…you bore me.
And Point 1..same goes for you …. “How can the dog not bark when the master’s butt is on fire?” … where do you get this stuff dude …..
any idiot can post trash to this blog (we know this coz you two jokers post to it with alarming regularity)…
..you guys dont even have the balls to use your own names..so i guess that makes you both eunuchs who are afraid of standing up and voicing your opinions…its reall brave hiding behind cory aliases…
Just know, your comments dont mean a thing untill you can substantiate what you say…and since you cant…Blog on…you’ll probably still be talking about us long after Munjal’s made is next million and your still trying to pay off the loan on you houses… LOL… that must really hurt…
Its amazing how much Friend and Point 1 sound like Anuj and Sudi…i hear they sit around bitching about how Andale was a waste of time .They didnt like you very much either Jeff. (probably jealous of you too).
They were cowards when they worked at Andale and they are cowards today who just dont have the GUTS to stop being Anonyms writers.
Anuj alway thought he was a genius but wasnt worth a rupee he was paid..what a loser he was..always trying to get Munjals attention with some stupid idea.
Sudi was incompetent…and we all know what happens to incompetent people…they get Fired..
another idiot who is jealous and angry was chandan nath..i hear hes been speaking about Munjal as well
oooo….I am soooo afraid! Yes, I tell others the truth about Munjal – what are you going to do? Hit me? LOL!
Hit you? Why bother? I think showing the world what a gutless prick you are is penalty enough really. You have finally found something you can be the best at..HA HA HA
lets keep the momentum going. A search for Ojos on Google throws this blog as the 1st link – top of the page!!!
And yes, I usually bend my fat *** over for any and everyone in management. I have grown and prospered this way. I am full of gas, no real skills, no talent but still make more money than all of u ******** put together.
**** U!
Dear Munjal,
This is an apology for all the horrible things we have been saying about you. We now realise that the reason that we were behaving the way we were was that we were confused about our sexuality. We have made 2 discoveries:
1) We are talentless & poor (yes we are)
2) We are *** and have fallen in love with each other.
Any further slanderous posts to this blog (irrespective of name), is just us venting our frustration because our families have disowned us.
Sorry in advance.
I just hate people who say really awful things while hiding in the shadows of anonymity. If you are going to make charges that are either serious or slanderous, then you should have the gonads to say who you are and we can decide whether or not to trust or believe you. I’ve done a full check online of Munjal and can find no allegations of any kind that he was guilty of funding misappropriation. Further, at the time that he departed Andale, the company was in fine shape financially. The fact that he recently received financing would indicate there was no allegation wrongdoing. Believe it or not VCs do some level of diligence in these areas. So is you have some evidence you can reveal then do so. Otherwise, you will do the world a favor if you sit down and shut up.
Shel,
Frankly speaking, Munjal and Vijay are two of the most abusive and rude people I have ever met. Is it any wonder that your extensive internet search turned up nothing? If you genuinely wanted to conduct research on the pair, you’d track down DJ Carney (the company’s first controller), you’d speak with the other co-founders and well, just do REAL research. But digging around on the internet and claiming all of the good stuff you’ve found oughta be true, is just… well… silly.
Vijay and Munjal made a lot of enemies in the valley because they were nasty to their employees. The outpouring of anger (what you suggest is slanderous) on this board is simply a mixture of people who have been burned as a result of their association with this pair of loons. Shel.. soon enough you will discover, as will Tara, that these two are toxic and deserving of the hateful posts on this blog. In fact, I’m willing to wager a dollar that I am correct. Check back with me in a year. If everything is dandy, I’ll send you a buck and wish you congratulations.
First, Nunya Binness – you are clueless and need a life. I am not Munjal but I know him well. I spent two years at Andale and I know all the founders and the individuals who are left to run the company…or should I say run into the ground. The company was doing fine under Munjal’s leadership. History has a way of revealing the truth. Munjal has been gone for over a year and the company is imploding. The current execs don’t even have enough respect for the people in India to handle the current layoff situation with dignity.
Say what you want but unless you were there and sat in the same meetings that I did everything you say and think is simply hearsay….So, get on with your life.
Shel, as Heather rightly said, work with Munjal for atleast a year and then form an opinion. Internet searches will do you no good.
I gave 90 hours/week to Andale for 3.5 straight years! Products I developed took the company to great heights. However, Munjal does not cares. He was always abusive – being his own self. I wanted to quit, but Prashant held be back twice. I shouldn’t have listened to him.
But when Vijay (she is not an enginner and does not have a clue about software engineering) started intefering in my work, I just couldn’t stand it. She would come up with wierd ideas and would not stand anyone opposing them. She would not even entertain a discussion. It was either her way or the highway. Company suffered as a result. Products began to fail in the market.
We (Engineering team) requested Prashant to talk to Munjal and contain Vijay. And what does Munjal do? – he explodes – abuses everyone and threatens to fire all of us. That was it for most of us. I quit and soon everyone else followed.
I really don’t care how Andale was doing when Munjal was CEA and how it is doing now when he is not. Munjal to me is just not a person to work with.
You will realize this sooner or later.
Shel, these are stuff you won’t find on internet. So, stop searching. You will get the taste of it in an year – when your honeymoon period with Munjal ends. May be much earlier if Vijay joins the company.
I wish you well. Don’t shutdown your mind against these posts yet. So many people won’t hate a person just for nothing.
There is no smoke without fire.
You are all so shallow. You own your life and decisions and quit blaming other people for your lack of happiness or success. Take control, make a decision, learn from the bad ones, profit from the good ones but you are the one who made the decision. For someone who gave 3.5 years and then now complains is unbelievable. What did you do for all that time. Did someone force you to stay. Obviously you made your own decisions. To me you sound like someone that invested in internet stocks and now you blame your stock broker. You made you decision, live with it, own it and get one with your life.
frisco – we all have lives. it’s a shame we lent some of our precious time here on earth to two individuals that destroy value rather than create it. not all of these posts are slanderous or caustic. collectively, they serve as a warning to others – nothing more.
frisco – i take responsibility for my actions. i worked at andale long enough to realize my error, so i left. i don’t work with ********. some people do. it’s their choice.
but it is also my choice to warn others that munjal and vijay are poison. so that they can make an educated choice, rather than feel the disappointment first-hand like so many did at andale. it makes the world a better place. we learn.
It’s bad to feed the trolls, but if you have a problem with this man, he has his own blog:

It is so surprising to see how you people who got so much benefited from Andale are behaving this way. Take a break guys Don’t forget that Munjal was the person who gave you numerous opportunities to grow and show your abilities in Andale DON’T FORGET THAT Munjal was/is a good CEO.. Andale whatever it is is because of Munjal shah, friends all of you know what happened after he resigned.. and you all are well educated and mature enough to see the difference in the leadership. You are all well networked with the current Andale folks to hear about what’s happening in the company. Thank your stars that you got an opportunity to work Andale during Munjal’s time and leave before you were fired by the new leaders. Munjal is now building another great company and you can see for yourself that more than 70% of Andale employees want to go and work for him again. All those 70% are not fools, they really understand the value they have got from Andale and Munjal and they want to continue working for him. These are facts and we all better face it and accept it.
Let’s not waste our valuable time in talking about this anymore… I am sure all of you are employed in good companies now and I am sure that your current employer does not pay you to ***** about others. Instead don’t waste your time just focus on your future and move on This advice is for all of you friends It’s left to you to take it or leave it.
I agree with almost all on here that Munjal Shah is shallow and prone to chicanery. That aside, I think Munjal is fairly ego-centric. Check out his website and you’ll see a shrine devoted to himself.
[...] I ran across four patent applications assigned to OJOS, Inc., parent to Riya. (The Cornell blog has an intriguing look at the mysterious early days of OJOS.) [...]
Any venture that Munjal starts eventually goes bust but not before he pockets and walks away with all the funding money he raises from the VCs and customers. Munjal and his wife were fired from Andale for misappropriation of funds. He raised millions of $ for Riya.com. Google pulled out of the talks of the sale of Riya.com after they realized that Munjal is a trickster. Riya.com went bust in a few years. Munjal walked away with the money. Same fate awaits Like.com. Recently, he reduced the staff of Like.com to half. Very soon the company will shut down. Munjal will be back in the market hunting for his next victim.
