Snoop Dogg to Perform Slope Day
Rapper Calvin Broadus, also known as Snoop Dogg is scheduled to perform on Slop Day this may, along with rising star The Game.

Some discussion about the appropriateness of bringing Snoop to visit Cornell, cross cultural expression, and cost ensued, but in the end Snoop bore through. Apparently the man himself is very interested in coming here. Tickets go on sale April 20, for $25 each.

Elliott, Drop it like it’s hot! I’m amazed that he agreed to come but I’m not surprized his interested…now he can claim an appeal to the Ivy League, he’s reaching a fan base he didn’t even know about! It should be a lot of fun anyway.
Hey Rebecca–have you heard any of his other stuff? I know they turned “Drop it like it’s hot” into this big pop-radio hit, but he has some interesting stuff he’s done with some of his buddies 213, as well as older classic albums.

Snoop Dog says: “Now I am a role model and I’m going to give them (his own kids) positive things to look up to.”
But if Snoop Dog promotes all of the following, how can he be a role model: violence, hard core porn, the exploitation of women, a hedonistic lifestyle, language that is needs just as much treatment as your local sewage.
Basically he’s a pervert who belongs to be put in the doghouse & STAY THERE!!!
wow thats *** so i cant get tickets!!
o well i guess i got to drive to buffalo
Catherine,
you’re an ignorant feminist. he’s successful, you’re not. deal with it
kidding
I wouldn’t exactly characterize Cathy as a feminist, but she does have a point about Snoop Dogg’s behavior. Of course, her conclusions are wrong. It’s simply an assumption of his existance and the way he was brought up. It’s not like Calvin Broadus hates women–it’s that he grew up in a place where being a real PIMP had social value.
