Romance & Sex Life at Cornell University
According to College Prowler, there’s a quote from a Cornell student talking about love life on campus that says:
You’ll find someone if you look extremely hard–harder than you’ve ever looked before, anywhere!
To me, this seems a little bit funny–there are plenty of good looking men and women on campus, and Cornell students typically are smart and affable. I’ve met some absolutely stunning people here. And after meeting my current girlfriend on North Campus as a freshman in the dining halls, it wasn’t the “looking” that was the hard part because I knew right away she was something special. Finding someone isn’t really about hunting so much as being friendly.
So, what do you think about the state of campus sex life?

I dunno – too many of the few that qualify as stunning are a bit too vain for my liking, and a I’d bet triple that number who really aren’t stunning but act as if they are.
Many of the same were a bit too motivated and driven for my liking as well, even in social situations. The best were the girls who’d ask what house you were in and retreating when you said you weren’t. After a while I really started freaking them out by telling them I was a grad student. A couple of these wastes of space reacted as if I told them I had herpes.
Well, screw them – I had better luck with folk on the fringes of the Cornell mainstream and from IK. A lot more genuine.
Oh, the sad grad life. Incidentally, econ dept @ SFU is the one that gets laid the LEAST!
Cornell guys are so absorbed in their studies, no girl will ever matter long enough to keep their attention. They graduate and move or change majors and tell you that you could ruin their future cause you are too distracting. Usually that isn’t the presenting complaint during a break-up but here it seems to be the norm.
