Martin Luther King Jr. Day Defiled
The other weekend at the University of Connecticut School of Law and Tarleton State University students had a brilliant idea for celebrity Martin Luther King Junior day: they would try to be black. The results dismay even the most hardened criminal:

Wearing dorags, fake machine guns, drinking 40s, and eating fried chicken, so do our American white youth honor the struggle for racial equality.
If you can really stand it, there’s more at TSG:
I always thought this stupidity was limited to those without a post-secondary education…

How do you end up at a party where black-face is encouraged?
Why are we pretending to be so suprised?
We all know people who are IGNORANT and RACIST. We’ve heard the jokes, pretended to not hear the snide remarks, idiotic observations and overly paranoid fears of our most “liberal” friends who claim they are “colorblind”. This is nothing new, this is just the same **** occuring en masse. Why do we act all “dear in headlights” when Kramer says the N-word at a comedy club? We all know people who say these ridiculous thinkgs, think them and wish they could say them outloud without looking foolish. The only surprise there was that he was so stupid as to say it in front of people who didn’t know him and that camera’s were rolling. The only thing that was surprising, was that he was so FOOLISH as to get caught with his pants down.
ADMIT IT. You’ve seen this level of IGNORANCE before: at your frat, dinner table, and in the locker room. You’ve seen people being IGNORANT and RACIST and YOU DIDN’T SAY A WORD. And that ladies and gents is how you end up at a party where someone is in blackface. Now hopefully you will speak up the next time you hear something you know you shouldn’t let slide.
