This kid lived in my house for Fall 2006. He answered a sublet of ours. He was completely removed from this world the entire semester. We caught him stealing weed from us. I don't smoke weed anymore, but at the time we caught him on motion camera stealing from us after we planted a rather elaborate but completely easy to detect scheme. He was always out in space all day long and never said much or did much that we knew about. We were robbed twice that semester and I bet you that it had to do something with Alex. I guarantee you if I searched through his possessions I would find over $4000 in stuff from the six roomates I had. We were robbed in the beginning of the semester and Alex "found" the guy who stole our stuff and sent him to the hospital and destroyed his house. He came back from the ordeal with only his stuff and my gamecube (presumably so he could play it). He showed me his shoes which he said were bloody - they looked like they were colored with red markers.

Stay away from this kid is all I have to say.

lmao @ The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.

America treats its animals decently, to a certain extent, despite the fact that most Americans are douchebags.

This guy is a piece of $hit. He was my housemate from in the fall of 2006. He answered an ad and filled a subletter spot. Alex was a shady individual the whole semester and always seemed to be on some sort of drug (probably meth) as he had little to no emotional or intellectual interaction and always was stealing food and other things. We found out and caught him on camera stealing some of our things and we ripped him to pieces so we kicked him out at the end of the semester. Funny thing that happened during this semester - our house got robbed....twice. The first time my gamecube and my playstation were taken as well as about $4000-$7000+ worth of electronical equipment and other items from my housemates. Now I'm not saying he did this, because I have no proof - but I'm also not saying he didn't do this - unless today he is caught with these items. Although the first time the house was robbed, Alex's stuff was taken as well - we thought it was just a scam of his - he said he found the guy and he went with his friend to this guys house and he said he beat the $hit out of him and ripped his house apart. Now this was a stupid idea, because if the guy who stole our stuff knew why he was there then he would come again - but Alex only returned with my gamecube and nothing of any of the other housemates stuff, which raises me to question whether he stole the stuff and felt like giving me it back, because he was secretly stealing other stuff from me the whole semester. However, the second time we we're robbed was done in the same exact fashion and specific items were missing to which Alex had expressed an affinity to - my friend's water pipe, his guitar, and other various items we're left that any normal burglar would have taken. So thats about most of what I know about this sick kid and he already deserves every bad thing that comes to him in life and more.

When this piece of garbage dies, I hope he is subjected to an afterlife filled with eternal torture and misery for what he perpetrated on this defenseless animal.

Atkind is clearly a ticking time bomb; too bad he only received a misdemeanor citation for this sad animal cruelty incident. Atkind is free and Princess, the innocent dog, has to live the rest of her life without being able to see, among other dreadful things. Cruelty towards animals is one of the first steps that escalates into further abuse towards people.

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.

Isn't it considered a warning sign, for future sociopathic violence against people, when someone practices deliberate cruelty against animals (over & above negligence, say) and has that Ted Bundy-style arrogance (I'm so smart, the legal system can't hurt me)?

This guy needs an a_ _ beating from someone. From what I hear he is not to stable and to me that is a major problem for our social socitey. If he is given just a slap on the wrist then that is poor judgement by the prosecutor. If I were the dogs owner I would not even worry about the law. It would become my law and my day in court with him and that could get bad. Animals do not know better and that is why we call them animals. I guess he falls into the same criteria. I wish the dog had mauled his dumb a _ _.

Just wondering if anyone knows any news on Atkinds trial.
Last thing I heard was he was charged with the drug posession and held on $25,000 bail. Nothing since. The Ithaca Journal has not done anything.
Can someone please enlighten me?
